VISUAL: Open on Louise in her rat cage with Willy in the background, hooked up to the smoking machine.
VISUAL: In the background, slightly out of focus, we see the torsos of a couple of lab workers standing next to another cage. One is holding a dead rat up by the tail, putting it in a little box for disposal. The other lab worker speaks to him.
LAB TECH 1: Another dead one?
LAB TECH 2: Yeah. For every 8 smokers tobacco kills, one nonsmoker dies too.
VISUAL: He motions with the dead rat as he places it in the box.
VISUAL: Louise looks up.
LOUISE (thinking to herself): One nonsmoker dies too . . .
VISUAL: Louise turns her head quickly and freezes. Her eyes widen as she realizes what she's just heard.
VISUAL: She whips her head to the right. Cut to her point-of-view as the camera whip pans to several different cages surrounding her cage.
VISUAL: She sees other rats smoking around her in their cages and starts naming them one by one.
LOUISE: Harry . . . Stinky . . . Eli . . . Isabel . . . Lizzy . . . Mr. Jingles . . . Bob!
VISUAL: Cut back to Louise in the cage, looking desperate. She quickly turns her head to the left. Cut to her point-of-view as she sees a few more animals smoking.
VISUAL: Cut back to Louise in the cage. She looks over her shoulder and notices Willy smoking, nonchalantly. She realizes that he is number 8 (the 8th smoker) and that she is the one non-smoker.
VISUAL: She looks very afraid.
VISUAL: Willy sees her looking at him.
WILLY: What?
VISUAL: She deeply inhales and holds her breath. She has little puffy cheeks as she looks about.
