[Narrator] Success may include data such as an increase in physical rates among school aged children. A decrease in tobacco sales in vulnerable populations or a decrease in emergency room visits while increasing medical center visits in underserved areas Even if data are not yet available, there’s still success. What are your target measures for your strategies? How have you made progress toward these measures? You can explain how strategy’s benefitted other places in the country where similar approaches have been used, or how your efforts resulted in an increase in the number of bicycle lanes and walking trails. You will want to start with the success most important and relevant to your stakeholder. Personal stories with an emotional angle along with facts, statistics, examples, and quotes can be used to support why and how your initiative is important and producing results. Don’t forget to add the actual number or target number of people impacted by this initiative. However, since your stakeholders are real people, it is the stories of real people that will motivate them. The emotional connection in your story is just as important as the facts of your story. Also, when appropriate, be sure to list the full official title of the stakeholder or organization that helped implement your change strategy. If you need examples of how to structure your results section or what to write, right-click the search stories link at the top of the page and open it in a new browser window.
