Alcohol-Related Disease Impact (ARDI) Application

On July 30, 2020, ARDI was updated with data from 2011–2015 and additional scientific updates. On September 3, 2020, corrections were made to the alcohol-attributable fractions for five acute causes of death, which resulted in overall increases to the estimated number of alcohol-attributable deaths and years of potential life lost. More information is available on the ARDI Announcements and Methods pages.

ARDI is an online application that provides national and state estimates of alcohol-related health impacts, including deaths and years of potential life lost (YPLL). These estimates are calculated for 58 acute and chronic causes using alcohol-attributable fractions, and are reported by age and sex for 2011-2015.
