Description
An adolescent boy comes home from school, greets his mom, and throws his backpack on the kitchen counter. She begins to go through his backpack and finds a package of mints. Popping one in her mouth she is surprised by the flavor, and upon further investigation reads the package label and finds out it’s actually a smokeless tobacco product. She spits out the mint, slams the tin on the counter, and screams her son’s name.

SFX: Music throughout

STEPHEN: Hey mom I'm home.

MOM: Hi Honey!

SFX: [The thud of a backpack landing on the kitchen counter and mom and son greeting each other with a kiss]

MOM: Mmmm, that kid. Stephen, didn't I tell you to not leave your backpack in the...Ugh! I guess if I leave his gym shorts in here, they'll be able to walk themselves to the laundry in another day.

SFX: [Mom is rustling through the backpack]

MOM: Oh, good for him, B+ on that algebra quiz he was so worried about. Hmm, mama could use a mint...

SFX: [Opening mint tin]

MOM: How many pens does one kid need? [Mom is sucking on the mint] What's that flavor? Frost. What's in this? Warning: Smokeless tobacco is addictive!

SFX: [Slamming of mint tin on the counter and mints spilling out]

MOM: STEPHEN!!!!
