Ad Title: Chalkboard
The spot opens on a wide shot of chalkboard. A med school professor in a white lab coat stands in front of it scribbling away on the board.
VO: Let's break down 70.
Cut to a close up of the chalk board: It reads "70"
VO: We've got 6 radioactive isotopes. [Radon-222, Radium-226, Polonium-210, Uranium-235, Uranium-238, Lead-210]
Close up of a hand writing "Polonium-210, Uranium-235" etc. on the board.
VO: A liquid used to embalm corpses. [Formaldehyde] Two chemical warfare agents. [Arsenic, Hydrogen Cyanide] And a list of toxic chemicals you'd need a Ph.D. just to pronounce.
Cut to wide shot. We see the list of chemicals growing. The radioactive materials are circled. An arrow points to a new area where...
Cut to close up:... The professor is writing "Butane, Hexamine"
Cut to a different angle. The professor writes "+ Formaldehyde."
Cut to wide shot. The material on the board is really starting to add up.
Cut back to close up of the professor's hand writing exotic chemical names on the board:
N-Nitrosodi-n-butylamine
N-Nitrosodi-n-propylamine
N-Nitrosodiethanolamine
N-Nitrosodiethylamine
N-Nitrosodimethylamine
N-Nitrosoethylmethylamine
4-(N-Nitrosomethylamino)-1-(3-pyridinyl)-1-butanone (NNK)
VO: That gives us 70. The number of cancer-causing chemicals in secondhand smoke.
Close up of the number 70. The professor's hand circles it demonstratively.
VO: Secondhand smoke kills nearly 50,000 NON-smokers a year.
Cut to the far right hand side of the board. Everything else is filled with chemical names and mathematical symbols. A simple phrase is written there: 50,000 Innocent Non-Smokers.
VO: Are you okay with that?
The stick of chalk clacks into the chalk tray and the professor brushes his hands together vigorously to remove the chalk residue. A cloud rises from his hands.
Cut to a wide shot of chalkboard as professor walks out the door. Chalk dissipates from chalkboard and forms a dense cloud of smoke.

[SFX: Throughout the spot, the stick of chalk clacks against the chalkboard.]
