To educate the community on how they can create “Streets for All” – bicyclists, pedestrians, drivers, strollers, people with disabilities and skateboarders – so that streets are safe for everyone and people can walk and bike in order to support active, vibrant communities.
The campaign is designed to nudge pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers into safe behaviors through lawn signs, street banners and billboards around town.
The Streets for All campaign was adapted from a Southern California Association of Governments campaign, “Go Human,” that underwent significant audience testing. The research summary is attached. Residents were able to submit campaign feedback and suggestions for street safety improvements through an online portal.
