The “I Bike Boston” campaign’s purpose is to increase bicycling and physical activity by people who know how to ride a bike. The campaign’s goal is to promote local opportunities and resources that support biking in Boston’s neighborhoods.
The campaign aims to change norms and beliefs about who bikes in Boston and to connect residents with resources to bike safely in the Boston area.
To help inform campaign development, developers met individually with teams from 8 of Boston's Healthy Community Champion (HCC) neighborhood groups. Typically, there were 4-8 residents in each of these meetings were ran like mini focus groups.
