Alcohol-Related Disease Impact (ARDI) - Help

Alcohol-Attributable Fractions Report

ARDI uses alcohol-attributable fractions (AAF) to calculate the proportion of deaths that are attributable to alcohol. ARDI uses both direct estimates of alcohol-attributable fractions and indirect estimates of alcohol-attributable fractions. More detail regarding AAF can be found in the About ARDI - Methods page.

Displaying AAF Report from the ARDI Home Page:

  1. Under View Reports, in the Choose a Report section, select the Alcohol Attributable Fractions option.
  2. Choose a location for the report by:
    • Clicking on United States to view national estimates
    • Clicking on the drop down menu to select a state to view state estimates or
    • Clicking on the state in the map to view state estimates
  3. Click GO. ARDI displays the report based on the options selected.
